We had a young 5-6 month old stray kitten brought in with a severe injury on her hind leg.  After having the vet examine her, it was decided that she needed to have that leg amputated. As this is not a regular day to day expense for our SPCA, we had to consider the costs involved with the surgery and the possiblity of whether or not this kitten would be adopted. The surgery was approved and the kitten came back to the SPCA. She was adopted within a few days to a nice gentleman.  A BIG THANK YOU GOES OUT TO THE VETS AND STAFF AT THE BONNYVILLE VET CLINIC FOR THE EXCELLENT CARE THEY GAVE JENNY!!!    We have set up a special fund for donations, so that we may be able to help more animals that come to us very sick or severly injured such as our little kitten Jenny did.  If you wish to donate to the JENNY FUND please state that when making your donation.  All donations over $ 10.00 receive a tax receipt.Below is a picture of Jenny after surgery.

What we need

Shelter Volunteers
Dog grooming and bathing, dog walkers, socializing puppies, and general help around the shelter. Playing with the cats & kittens, they enjoy the company.

When it is too cold for dogs to walk outside, some of them really enjoy using the threadmill.

Fundraising Volunteer
Help out with bartending for special occasions, flipping burgers & hot dogs for BBQ'S, Participate in our Annual Dog Jog, and many other possibilities of helping the SPCA.
